I Could Use a Nap

I am at work right now, of course, and I don't think that I have seen a single face in the past hour. It has been an interesting day of work though. A few hours ago a guy came in to get a bus pass. He chatted with me for a few minutes and as he was walking out the door he said to me,
"Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I think that you are cute." Then he left. A half hour later he walks back in and said, "I really don't want to pass up this oppurtunity. I am going out of town for the next two weeks, but when I get back I was wondering if I could take you out on a date." It was odd, that is for sure. I told him maybe. We will see what happens. I just thought it was really funny and completely random.

Last night, I went with a big group to the Hot Springs in Spanish Fork Canyon. It was fun. There was a 4 mile walk to the springs....people told me that it was only a mile. One thing that I can't get over is how beautiful the place was. I just wanted to stand there in awe. The hike was right through 2 mountains and it was next to a beautiful rushing river with waterfalls. The stars were so vivid. I just wanted to lay there and look at them forever. The downside of the whole shebackle is that in the group that I was hiking with there was only one flashlight and the path was pitch dark. On the way there the moon was out so we could at least see, but on the way back the moon had set and I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. The path was really skinny at times too with a steep drop down into the rushing cold water. Luckily, I had brought my cell phone along, and I don't even know why because there wasn't any service. My phone provided just enough light for 3 of us to use and we were able to get back down after an hour and 15 minutes...My Mom will be so proud of me that I actually went on a hike! I want to go back in the day sometime when I can really see my surroundings. I still can't get over how beautiful it was.
