It seems to me that everyone that I know now has a blog and to be honest, I felt a little left out. So I decided that with all my down time at work (about 7 hours a day with absolutely no work to do) I should start a blog...So here I am.
I don't really know what to say for the first blog...we'll see what comes out! I am here at BYU in Provo, UT for the spring and summer and I am absolutely loving it. I am really glad that I decided to stay out here. I love my family and home, but I am a social butterfly and don't get that sort of interaction when I am at home in St. Louis. This week has been an especially fun one. On Saturday, I went wakeboarding on Utah Lake with my good friends Chuck and Eric and my roommate Erin. I have never been before and heard that it was hard so I was really nervous! I was able to get up on my third try and was so excited that I let go of the rope and just slowly sank into the water! I slowly got better and was able to get out of the wake! I had so much fun. I did get some payback from all my physical exertion though...yesterday, I was so sore that I could hardly climb stairs and holding a pen was a chore...as was every other movement I made. Today is better, but I still am stiff and sore, but I had so much fun that I can't even complain!
Last night my ward set up a tv and speakers outside and watched the movie "Heavyweights". We laid out so many blankets and pillows and all laid down and watched and talked and enjoyed each others company and then finished the night with a big pillow fight! Anyway, I think that is all I have for now. Hopefully I will update this blog often and I think that I will because, well, today I spent 5 hours playing minesweeper and chatting with friends (including a chat with my sister Beth who is in Japan right now!) so I need to find some more productive things to do. Another thing I need to do is get into my summer book list...I have only crossed off one book and have about 30 more to get through!
