They hopin' that they gon catch me ridin' dirty

Saturday morning I woke up feeling very blah to medicore, so it was a relief when some of my favorite people in the world called me up to hang out with them. After weeks of hearing everyone constantly talking about how much they loved the movie Inception, I caved in and went to go see it with wonderful Camille and some other friendly faces. I was blown away by the movie, but don't want to talk about it anymore because I am tired of hearing people talk about it. What I will tell you is that I have problems sitting through 3 hour movies no matter how good they are and end up getting restless because I just can't seem to get comfortable. As a full grown adult, my feet still don't entirely reach the floor, so I end up curled in some sort of ball in the chair. What a shame. Usually I don't have any complaints about being 5'2. This may be the only one. After the movie, I went Jeeping with some friends and with some non-friends (meaning strangers). So much fun. Jerika, Camille and I come as a package deal lately, so we demanded that we be placed in the same car. We ended up in the back seat of a Jeep with two strangers that were on a date. I am not sure if it was a first date or not, but I do know that by the end of the night they were holding hands. Sigh...young love.

Anyway, now for the pictures and fun little comments to go along with. When we first got in the Jeep, all was well. The view was good, the top was down, the breeze was nice. It wasn't long after we started the trail that we came to the realization that our Jeep was at the back of the line of Jeeps. Usually ok, but our Jeep was topless and we were driving on a dirt road. Aka, we were very literally eating the dirt of the cars in front of us. At the first stop, Camille, Jerika, and I hopped out of the Jeep and we were laughed at. Why? Because our faces and clothes were completely brown. Mmm...a close up. Orbitz commercial anyone? We decided that we didn't care that we were dirty, or that we had ruined our nice shirts (for me, a shirt that I wear to work). We decided that this was fun and gross, and at least we were enjoying a beautiful day and scenery. We kept going up the trail for another few hours, and by the time we got to the peak where we picnicked, I looked like this. This is definitely the tannest I will ever be in my life. The sad thing is, I think I still have dirt in my hair. Even though I have shampooed and brushed it a gazillion times. Yum! We stayed at our spot for a while and watched the sunset. It was beautiful. I wish I would have taken the time to relax and enjoy it more. After the trip, we drove down to Spanish Fork to watch the Pioneer Day fireworks...that were put to music. My favorite song that they played? "The Circle of Life" from the Lion King. I don't know why they chose that one. I am just grateful they didn't play "Come Come Ye Saints" or some other Pioneer-esque song. Thank Freaking Goodnes.
